Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026 · DRAFT — pending legal review

1. Who we are

Stuck! ("we", "us", "our") is a Tweenage product that helps parents understand and explain their child's homework. Stuck! is operated by Rebecca Everton as a sole trader. We are the controller of the personal data we collect through Stuck!. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC120037. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@tweenage.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

Stuck! is deliberately minimal. There are no accounts and no child profiles.

3. Photos of your child's work

This section is the heart of this policy, because the photos you send may contain your child's handwriting, their answers (including wrong ones), and teacher marks — and that is a child's personal data. Here is exactly what happens to a photo:

Please help us with data minimisation: keep your child's name, school name, and any teacher comments about your child out of the shot — crop to the question and the working. The app reminds you of this at the point of upload.

4. Children and the Children's Code

Stuck! is built for parents, and only parents. By design: children do not use the app, create no accounts, and provide no data directly; the only child-related data we handle is what appears incidentally in the photos you choose to send, handled as described in section 3; we build no profile of any child; we show no advertising; and we use no engagement mechanics aimed at children. The account relationship, the payment, and every screen are adult-facing. You must be 18 or over and the parent or guardian of the child whose work you photograph.

5. Why we use data (legal bases under UK GDPR)

To provide the service (process your snaps, validate license keys, deliver results): contract. To run and protect the service (error fixing, abuse prevention, usage records): legitimate interests. Service messages: contract or legitimate interests. Marketing (occasional Tweenage updates): legitimate interests where permitted, or consent where required — opt out any time via the link in any email or by writing to us. Legal obligations (tax, accounting, disputes): legal obligation.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share only what is needed to run Stuck!: Anthropic (AI processing of your photos and generation of answers, as in section 3); Vercel (hosting and server logs); Resend (delivery of your answer report to your email address — the report contains the question and explanation, and Resend processes it solely to deliver it); Lemon Squeezy / Sold through Link, LLC (payments, subscriptions, invoices, refunds, license keys — partly as our processor, partly as an independent controller under their own policy); and professional advisers or authorities where legally necessary.

7. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EU. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the providers' contractual commitments.

8. How long we keep data

Photos: not kept by us at all (section 3). Saved reports: kept until you delete them with "Clear my history", or on account deletion request. Email and usage records: kept while you use Stuck! and deleted or anonymised within 30 days of a deletion request, unless limited data must be kept for legal, security, or accounting reasons. Payment and tax records: kept as long as the law requires. Support emails: kept as long as needed to resolve the matter and maintain reasonable records.

9. Cookies and analytics

Stuck! sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser local storage for the essentials described in section 2. If we later add privacy-respecting analytics, this policy and the site notice will say so first.

10. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email hello@tweenage.co.uk — we respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

11. Changes

If we make significant changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell subscribers by email.
